Toys for Halloween!
The Fall 2008 Toy releases are getting good, finally.
I made a trip to Tate's Comics in Fort Lauderdale, FL to see what goodies I could find. I must say it is the most complete selection of vinyl toys I have ever seen in a store. Usually, it’s only the online stores have such a wide variety of brands. I picked up a Molly Qee because it’s a girl with a giant crown so she is definitely the Queen Qee in charge! I also found the Metallic Qee Bear I have been looking for everywhere but could only find online. Some toys look different in person so I hesitate until I see it live and check out the quality and feel of it. Glad I found the Qee Bear, they look so much better than I thought that now I want a few more. The only thing I didn't see was the My Little Pony Toys which I am trying my best not to start collecting, must save money in this crazy economy since I tend to buy toys in bulk and go broke! Good service and nice environment in the store. There was an art gallery on the second floor and the rest of the store had every comic book and action hero figurine you could ever want. There is even a wide variety of Japanese import candies.
Soon I will go to the other toy stores during the Halloween sales. I'm curious to see the new fall releases for Kid Robot, some aren't very creative so I’m hoping to find a cool collectible piece aside from the new Huck Gee stuff which is always good. Tates and Kid Robot are doing something special for Halloween, they will have percent off sales and grab bags filled with toys that you can buy. Any sale at Kid Robot is a good thing since the prices seem to go up every season. You can still find some great deals if you are looking to buy some toys as Christmas gifts. Pink Ghost will have an Art Fair as well so now is definitely a good time to hit your local toy store to see what deals you can get.
